Welcome to the dynamic world of management.
Management is commonly defined as the process of planning, organizing,
leading, and controlling the activities of employees in concert with other
resources to achieve organizational objectives. Managers may be at
the top, middle, or operational level of an organization. They may
be functional managers who are responsible for particular departments,
general managers, who coordinate many departments in a division, or project
managers, who integrate people across functional lines to complete a specific
project. As we move into the 21st century, the discipline of management
continues to evolve. You will be challenged as you study about
workplace diversity, business ethics, leadership style assessment, globalization,
organizational cultures, group dynamics and team formation, strategic management,
entrepreneurship, and employee behavior—just to name a few. Our program
will help you learn the necessary skills and competencies to prepare you
to manage and lead organizations in a complex, global society. To learn
